The Departments of History, Philosophy, and Political Science at Johns Hopkins University jointly offer a Program in the History of Political and Moral Thought designed for graduate students who wish to explore theoretical and historical aspects of the problems of politics and morality from the standpoints of both the humanities and the social sciences. Students must satisfy the doctoral degree requirements of one of the participating departments. In addition, each student will do substantial work in one or both of the other two departments. More information is available from Professor Richard Flathman of the Department of Political Science or from the Department of Philosophy. Students accepted into the program through the department are eligible for financial aid from the department.
